Welcome to the LifeZone

The LifeZone, LLC was created in honor of our sons Ben and Clay by us, their parents, Len and Debbie Tremper.   

Ben and Clay were diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Phelan McDermid Syndrome. While watching our other children grow, develop, build friendships, get jobs, find joy and purpose, we watched our special needs sons fall further behind socially, academically, and functionally.  Our boys became anxious, lonely, and less able to try new things.  As they were being left out and left behind, we knew they we had to find a way to help our sons. Our sons needed a rich, dynamic, joyful, and safe environment so that they could enjoy the world, so they could find purpose, joy, and friendships. So, in 2017 we created the Learning Zone! The Learning Zone was developed out of urgent necessity for their education, emotional, and social needs.  The dynamic program centered around relationships, experiences, and joy. We built a place so that our sons would feel safe enough to take the risk of learning, give them purpose, and a place to grow and thrive at their pace within their limitations without feeling behind, forgotten, or unloved.  And thrive they did!  The Learning Zone was a truly individual model and plan that began with much prayer, by blending our parenting beliefs, the knowledge we had about our sons' individual personalities, strengths, challenges, and their rare disorder to make a safe dynamic joyful environment that they looked forward to going to.  

As our boys came closer and closer to their "adult" programming age we began to investigate and plan what that would look like for them. It was hard to find a similar rich dynamic program.  

So, back to the planning board we went to prayerfully and joyfully create The LifeZone, LLC.  

The LifeZone looks forward to providing a loving, caring, dynamic day habilitation and/or CBS/IS programs where many young adults will grow and thrive throughout the continuum of their adult life!
